♥ You're young until you're not, you love until you don't, you try until you can't, you laugh until you cry, you cry until you laugh, and everyone must breathe until their dying breath. No, this is how it works. You appear inside yourself. You take the things you like, and try to love the things you took, and then you take that love you made and stick it someone else's heart, pumping someone else's blood. --Regina Spektor

OKAY!
Self, it's time to stop this weird isolationist bullshit, cos I don't know about you, but you're acting a bit weirder than normal for no reason at all.
So get over it!

A piece of advice to all managers out there: please consider the way in which you say something to someone before saying it, especially if many other people will also hear it. Location 70001 Mood n/a Music The Device Has Been Modified - Victims of Science Tags: life: work

Who is the man? I AM THE MAN.
I am the man because a customer I helped DEMANDED to speak to the district manager and in a v. loud voice (loud enough so that the store could hear) regaled me as sweet, professional, nice and willing to go above and beyond. Also that she is a customer for life.
Sure, retail job, but that was nice to hear anyway, and bully for me.

Today while at work, on my lunch break, I was walking back to LB from McDonald's and saw two young guys dressed in overalls walking through the crowd. I thought I was hallucinating, because they were dressed like Mario and Luigi, complete with the white gloves, Mario's trademark 'stache, and the fact that Mario was shorter than Luigi.
I wasn't.
They re-appeared ahead of me in the crowd a moment later - Mario winked and nodded at me, and then they continued on down the mall, hopping down the short flight of stairs into the fountain area (complete with the jumping-Mario hand motion), and then disappeared into Pottery Barn.

( WoW babble, feel free to skip ) Hours are picking up at work, which is good because I have heard nothing from any of the places I applied to. I knew that we as a retail store would be going through a slow period, but not that slow -- however, it's not like I've given up looking for another job, because if Erica keeps being so awesomely bad at being a manager I might have a stroke right on the sales floor. Things with the roommate are going much, much, much better -- in fact, I think they might even be going swimmingly. Now that I know he's in his room playing WoW and not simply staring at the walls and saying nothing to anyone we're right back where we started. I often go hang out in his room and sit on his bed and, well, hang out.
