In the space of about twenty minutes, and while I was trying to clean the house for Mother's Day, I have:

1) Bent my left thumbnail back hard enough that there is a bit of blood trapped underneath the nail. Not sure if it's worth it to try and burn a hole through the nail to let it out.

2) Broken one of the mirrored, sliding-glass doors on the medicine cabinet. When it fell, it also took out half of one of the soap dish tiles.

3) The dog peed on my bedroom rug, to add insult to injury. I guess she's just pissed I gave her a bath.

FML.

In other news, I went all the way to work today [took the bus both ways, which was 2hrs. worth of travel] to be told that I am not on the schedule for this week or next week because I called out on Saturday of last week. This is the first time I've called out. This is not normal. I am prepared to take this shit to corporate if I must. It'll be straightened out tomorrow when I talk to the scheduling manager, or it had better be.

Good thing I'm getting some money back from my Pell Grant, because I have a feeling I'm going to need it. The textbook for my sociology class is $110 new alone. Not to mention what I might have to buy for math. /o\

Haha, my math textbook was $49. I'm kind of relieved. That leaves me broke 'til my refund check arrives, but at least I don't have to worry about falling behind in Math 120. Somewhat ironically, this math looks easier than Math 118 -- because it's things that can be applied to real life, I think, instead of just math rhetoric.

Applied to two more places today. Thankfully this week's been pretty busy so I haven't had time to mope around about not working. I'm just -- so done with LB; I'm tired of the bullshit and the fact that unless you're "in" with the managers, in part of their little popular clique, you're stepped on and overlooked. The week leading up to New Year's, all the managers could talk about was what they were going to wear when they went out to Bourbon Street for NYE, which made me glad that I didn't run the risk of bumping into them since I'd be in Covington.

However, in an effort to scrape together what piddly little hours I can, I did sell a credit card on Sunday (we're supposed to get one per shift, but who's counting in a fucking RECESSION?). One per shift means I got all of my required credit for the week, so if the powers that be don't decide to shit on me again, I'll see some work next week, on the four days I'm available to work next week, since school's starting. Almost done with LB, and as far as Delgado, two more semesters and I'm outta there.

I work Sunday.

That is all. For this entire week. So I'm going to go work my piddly little shift at Lane Bryant and then use the rest of the week to look for jobs.

Okay, FINE, I ADMIT IT, I got sucked into the whole Twilight thing but ONLY BECAUSE I BOUGHT THE SOUNDTRACK BECAUSE IT'S THAT GOOD.

With this being said, I will burn it for anyone localish who'd like it but doesn't have it.

So I'm sure that any of you who talk to me over AIM or WoW heard me whine and cry yesterday about studying for my dreaded math final -- which was to be at 8am this morning, right? WRONG!

I had biology this morning, which I thought was Wednesday, which means I didn't study for it. However, my lowest test score in that class was a 78 (which is a high C), since they dropped the LOWEST test grade (which was a 54 -- I bombed that test), plus I have a B quiz grade .. I think I did okay. The final wasn't extremely hard and I recognized a lot of the questions asked. I was certainly not as unprepared as SOME people in my class, despite thinking the final was on Wednesday.

Now I'm sitting in the CATT lab waiting until 1pm for my brit lit final, which .. should be interesting. Poor sir Gawain (not Gawian >.< ) is a little smeared from where I not-so-judiciously used whiteout to correct his name, but other than that he looks really good. I forgot to take a picture of him, so hopefully Dr. MacArthur will let me keep him.

TBH, I don't think I'm going to take any more online/hybrid classes. I don't like the splitting up of the class between online and here at campus. I like more structure. I enjoyed Dr. MacArthur's class a lot because of the subject matter, but I really hated the hybrid aspect.

I re-did my livejournal layout for the holidays. I rawther like it.

I've been working on my English final (British Literature to 1795) all morning - I chose to draw Sir Gawain and explain the symbolism behind his shield and his helm. Not a problem for someone who enjoys drawing armor as much as I do .. except that I haven't drawn ANYTHING in months. I meant to do it "character sheet" style and have little blurbs explaining everything ... and that was going well, until my brain suddenly shut off and I ended up very carefully lettering

You know you need to take the Bio lab -- do not, under any circumstances, take Varnado's class. Try and get Rosenzweig, for the love of all that's holy, do you really want to have to sit through any more of Varnado's courses? (Don't ask me about thermodynamics today, it was all I could do to even stay awake). Also, to the two girls who sit behind me in that class and groan and moan and bitch: this class is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. Nobody asked you to come here today. Shut the fuck up or leave. Don't ask me for my notes and then bitch and complain all through class, when you could have been taking your own notes. Y/y? Okay.

I really don't know what else I need to complete my degree work, aside from the bio lab. Math 118 (what I'm taking this semester) is all I think I need as far as math -- I may need some more sciences, though. *kills self*

The good news is that my courses are all paid for through next semester; the slightly-less-good news is that my refund's only $68. Still, it's $68 I didn't have before, I guess.

Okay, enough about school. D:

My livejournal will be going through a friends purge soon, I think, there are some people on here who I've just grown away from and, well, there's no use anymore in reading stuff that doesn't really mean much to me? I don't know. If it's absolutely imperative that you stay on my journal, you can leave a comment, but I guess it'll just happen when I go through my friends page and tick people off.

I should have internet at home tomorrow morning. I disconnected last night during the last 10% of a fight with the Headless Horseman (at least I wasn't tanking!), and no doubt with my luck the freaking mount dropped.
