discombobulated

So I'm sure that any of you who talk to me over AIM or WoW heard me whine and cry yesterday about studying for my dreaded math final -- which was to be at 8am this morning, right? WRONG!

I had biology this morning, which I thought was Wednesday, which means I didn't study for it. However, my lowest test score in that class was a 78 (which is a high C), since they dropped the LOWEST test grade (which was a 54 -- I bombed that test), plus I have a B quiz grade .. I think I did okay. The final wasn't extremely hard and I recognized a lot of the questions asked. I was certainly not as unprepared as SOME people in my class, despite thinking the final was on Wednesday.

Now I'm sitting in the CATT lab waiting until 1pm for my brit lit final, which .. should be interesting. Poor sir Gawain (not Gawian >.< ) is a little smeared from where I not-so-judiciously used whiteout to correct his name, but other than that he looks really good. I forgot to take a picture of him, so hopefully Dr. MacArthur will let me keep him.

TBH, I don't think I'm going to take any more online/hybrid classes. I don't like the splitting up of the class between online and here at campus. I like more structure. I enjoyed Dr. MacArthur's class a lot because of the subject matter, but I really hated the hybrid aspect.

I re-did my livejournal layout for the holidays. I rawther like it.

if they hate then let 'em hate

I'm considering moving on to a new journal. I already have a name picked out and a journal made, buuuuut it's going to be the packing up and the moving that will come later. Or won't come at all. :| I mean, I've had this journal since February of 03. That's almost six years of entries, right? But -- I think I'm outgrowing LJ itselfthe name.

Work's finally feeling the waves coming off of the mess that is the economy right now. My hours got shot down from 35 to about 20 a week; last week I had 14. After this coming week I have no more school 'til finals (and 'til January when it starts up again), so hopefully I'll pick some back up. We still have no a/c or heat. And today the guy came to replace several tiles in the store, but brought the wrong kind of tile .. so we have gaping holes in the floor. Lawsuit ahoy. It's a good thing I wear flats every day or else it'd totally be me to fall and bust my ass.

Uh. School's going well. I'm a grade higher in Biology than I thought I was - I have a B instead of a C. I made a 97 on my last math test. I'm trying to push to get my GPA as high as possible this semester, since I don't think I'm going to make the Dean's List again. OH WELL NEXT SEMESTER. ♥

story of the day

Well, crap, my paid account wore out. Didn't stop LJ from putting a $19.95 charge in my account -- pending, and it'll go away, but still, that's $19.95 I could use.

Life has been very normal. I went out to eat at the Doson Noodle House with Jodi, Jackie, Carl, Bruce and Lil Chris; afterwards we went to Angelo Brocato's. I got cannoli (of course!) and what may have been the best Italian soda I've ever had. I guess Doson/Brocato's is the Carrollton version of our sushi and ice cream out here in Metairie.

A couple of days ago Jacko and I went to King Buffet and I picked up some new beads and some eye pins at Hancock ... also a new bead box so I can now obsessively organize my "special" beads. We also began sending out the invitations for the Baby Barbeque and Pot Luck Pool Party, as it's called (note that we are not actually barbequing babies).

Getting a pair of jeans for $10 is full win. I love associate specials at work.

I was gonna write a more serious entry about stuff, but my head hurts and it's kinda late. I'll write some more tomorrow.
